Iran to host Calligraphy Dance, Silk Way Exhibition

Iran is to host Int'l Calligraphy Dance and Silk Way Exhibition in Tehran and Mashhad.

Iran is to host the biggest cultural calligraphy event titled International Calligraphy Dance and Silk Way Exhibition in Tehran and Mashhad on January 20-26, 2021.

Around 1000 works with roughly 300 artists will participate in the first international exhibition and scientific conference of the Silk Road calligraphy both via videoconferencing and in person.

A total of 30 countries from Europe, Africa, and the region such as Pakistan, France, Morocco Egypt, India, Tajikistan, Iraq, Tunisia, and Algeria will participate with 25 articles. Moreover, the artists from these countries will perform calligraphy live.

According to the secretary general of the Iranian National UNESCO Commission Hojjatllah Ayyoubi, “Iran is the forerunner to hold such an event which is art-based, for its long history, civilization and cultural heritage.”

The works of art will be displayed at Iran Mall and Azadi Tower, and they will be illuminated as well.

The ambassadors of participant countries will attend the closing ceremony of the exhibition based on all implemented hygienic protocols at Iran Mall.
